This August Bank Holiday weekend is set to be a sunny one and we’ll be making the most of the beautiful weather in our stunning garden!
On Saturday join us between 12-4pm for our Indian Summer Garden Party. Sample speciality dishes from around India, prepared ‘al fresco’ on the BBQ in our beautiful aromatic garden. Our team of chefs will be cooking up an array of stunning fish, meat and vegetable dishes alongside rumali roti flat breads and rice sides. Cleanse the palate afterwards with refreshing Mövenpick ice cream and grilled pineapple!

On Sunday our Famous Spice Merchant Buffet will be running as normal but with a Special Half-Price Cocktail Promotion between 12-3pm to celebrate the extra long weekend! Standouts include Fifty Shades of Spice Merchant (Gosling rum, Martini Rosso, fresh lime, ginger beer), Taste of Asia (vodka, fresh lemon juice, curry leaf, fresh ginger) and the mocktail; Berry Boost (guava, peach puree, fresh lemon juice, fresh berries).

Our new A La Carte menu will be available as usual and includes Mahi Fish Tikka (monkfish cooked with butter, lemon juice, chilli, ginger, yogurt & curry powder. Served with coriander chutney), Chicken Tikka Pie – yes, seriously and it’s delicious... and Sikendari Badi Lamb (roasted lamb shank marinated with Indian herbs drizzled with a potato & chickpea jus)! Vegetarians can enjoy the likes of Chilli Milli Tikki (vegetable patties made with cumin, flour, mash potato, pepper, beans & carrots coated in breadcrumbs). Desserts which effortlessly partners tradition and modernity, include Bombay Mess (Spice Merchant’s take on the classic ‘Eton Mess’ with crushed meringue, mango and rich cream topped with grated pistachio); and Blueberry Bhapa Doi (a delightfully luscious, traditional Bengali pudding made with yoghurt and given a contemporary twist by Chef Mahanty of juicy blueberries).
